The Hive Pass is a Salt Lake City program offered exclusively to Salt Lake City residents with the goal of making transit more affordable, accessible, and convenient.

About:
The Hive Pass is a monthly pass that activates the first day of the month on which it is purchased. You can purchase the pass at any time. Purchasing the pass at or very near the first of the month will help you make the most of the pass. Additionally, you can pre-purchase for the next month and your Hive Pass will activate on the first day of the upcoming month.

To be eligible for the Hive Pass, your home address must be located within Salt Lake City boundaries.

Cost:
The cost of the Hive Pass is $42 per month. By comparison, the regular price of a UTA monthly premium pass is $170. The cost difference is covered by Salt Lake City Corporation - and UTA. You may also pre-purchase for an entire year for $475. This equates to an additional $29 discount!

How To Use:
Use the Hive Pass on local buses, TRAX, the S-Line, FrontRunner, and UTA On Demand! You must 'Tap On and Tap Off' with the pass for each trip, and each time you change from one transit mode to another – from one bus to another, between bus and TRAX, TRAX to bus, from TRAX to FrontRunner, etc.
